Good opinion of Allah 1

 

A good opinion of Allah is faith in Him, despite circumstances that come and eventually go. He never rejects faith. Thus, He never rejects a good opinion of Him. If He doesn’t reject it He certainly doesn’t betray it. It follows then that those who maintain a good opinion of their Lord will see it made manifest in one way or another, inshallah.

Have a good opinion of Allah.

Good opinion of Allah 1

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

إِذَا قَالَ الرَّجُلُ هَلَكَ النَّاسُ فَهُوَ أَهْلَكُهُمْ

If a man says the people are destroyed, then he is the most destroyed among them. – Source: Sahih Muslim 2623, Grade: Sahih

UM Special: Belief in His Mercy – a Thought from Imam Abdul Latif Finch

Good opinion of Allah 1

The Quran states,

“O my sons, go and find out about Joseph and his brother and despair not of relief from Allah. Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people.” (12:87)

As Allah said none despair of the mercy of Allah but the disbelieving folk, they have a bad opinion of Allah in as much as they don’t believe in His mercy. So a good opinion of Allah is believing in His mercy. May we have a good opinion of our Lord and His capacity to relieve us. Amin

Quran recitation & mercy – Hadith on Mercy

حديث أبى هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (ما اجتمع قوم في بيت من بيوت الله يتلون كتاب الله ويتدارسونه فيما بينهم إلا نزلت عليهم السكينة وغشيتهم الرحمة وحفتهم الملائكة وذكرهم الله فيمن عنده). (صحيح مسلم)

Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him said, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: No people gather in a mosque, reciting the Quran, and studying it amongst themselves but tranquillity descends upon them and they are overwhelmed with mercy while the Angels surround them and God mentions them with those who are with Him.

Allah loves compassion – Hadith on Mercy

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَيُعْطِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لاَ يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ‏.‏

Abdullah ibn Mughaffal reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Allah is compassionate and loves compassion. He gives for compassion what He does not give for harshness.”
